The Sun Inn is a grade II listed building and has
recently undergone extensive renovations to transform it into a warm welcoming dining pub.
It is a family orientated pub that welcomes children and dogs.
Meet The Team
Nina has a wealth of experience in customer service and hospitality, she has been involved in the running of pubs since she was 15 years old. Further to this she worked as an assistant manager for BA and has travelled to 35 different countries.
James has been a chef for over 20 years having worked in top restaurants around Bath, Leicester and Australia. He even worked at a cookery school in thailand for 3 months. Most recently he has been head chef at the bakers arms.
Will has been a chef for the past 7 years and is classically trained. He has worked locally at the Red Lion in Great Bowden and more recently at the Bakers Arms with James.
Marco has been a chef for over 10 years, following i his mothers footsteps. He has worked in some of the top restaurants in Northampton and Portugal. his previous pub in Northampton won the carslberg best pub award.
What we're passionate about
Field to fork
Good quality meat is at the forefront of all of our dishes.
Our farm is made up of rare breed cows, sheep and pigs, with the vision to create a field to fork business.
Our belted galloway cows, affectionately known as the oreo cow for their white stripe, are reared for their quality marbled beef.
The beef has been hung for 30 days and is nearly ready for your plates in the pub.
Supporting your Local
We're also big on 'Supporting your local.' We believe that by buying locally we can reduce our food miles and in turn reduce our carbon footprint.
It also guarantees fresh produce that hasn't been frozen in transit. That's why wherever possible our meat comes from our own farm or a butcher in Market Harborough.
We even have a wine from an English vineyard, Coolhurst!
We also hire locally with the majority of our staff living in the village or nearby. This means many of us have an easy commute by walking to work!
